Leading With Integrity and Responsiveness

Being accessible, responsive, and accountable to the people I represent is fundamental to how I approach public service.

I have made accessibility and responsiveness a priority from my first day in office. Whether you have an opinion about legislation, an idea for a new law, a concern about our community, or need help navigating a State agency, I want to hear from you.

My office has helped constituents work through problems with State agencies and government programs and address issues involving utilities, schools, transportation, public safety, veterans and military families, and other community needs. We work hard to respond to calls and emails, find answers, and help solve problems whenever we can.

I also listen when constituents identify problems that require broader solutions. Some of the legislation I have introduced in Annapolis has grown directly out of conversations with the people I represent, including work on school safety, protecting children, health care, utility costs, transportation, and our environment.

Good representation also means showing up. I regularly attend community meetings and events, hold town halls, and spend time throughout the district listening to residents. Those conversations make me a better Senator.

I will continue to be a strong advocate for our district and to represent everyone who lives here, regardless of political party. We will not always agree, but every constituent deserves to be heard, treated with respect, and represented with integrity.
